A Development Path for Greater Saldanha Bay

Project summary:

Tridevworx is pursuing the facilitation of a development Path for the Greater Saldanha Bay area on behalf of the Saldanha Bay Industrial Development Zone.  The development path is being shaped and constructed through a process of social dialogue involving an array of stakeholders such as the Saldanha Bay Municipality, provincial and national departments and public entities such as DTI and Transnet, trade unions such as FAWU and NUMSA, including relevant federations, Community and Faith Based Organisations (CBOs&FBOs)

This is being done with due consideration of current initiatives such as the Saldanha Bay Municipality’s Integrated Development Planning(IDP) process and the Whole of Society Approach(WOSA)  which involves a number of provincial and national departments. The emphasis is on the involvement of stakeholders such as the private sector and civil society in the construction and implementation of a Development Path for the greater Saldanha Bay area. Hence the involvement of stakeholders from the towns of Hopefield, Langebaan, Jacobsbaai, Paternoster, Saldanha, St Helena and Vredenburg  based on common economic, social and environmental interests.
